The openers provided a steady start, navigating the powerplay unscathed. However, two quick wickets in the 11th over briefly halted their momentum.

The middle order stepped up, with Gerald Olipa scoring a brilliant 63 runs, anchoring a 67-run partnership that pushed Uganda past the 150-run mark.

In response, Tanzania started well, with a 61-run opening stand. Their captain, Dylan Thakar, fell just short of a half-century at 48 runs, while Acrey Pascal Hugo led the scoring with 58.

Mohammad Simba Mbaki added 31, but Tanzania struggled to maintain their chase.

Uganda’s bowlers kept the pressure on, with Tandia (3 wickets, economy 2.9) and Christopher Kidega (3 wickets) leading the attack.

Gerald Olipa capped off a superb all-round performance with 2 wickets, securing him the Player of the Match award.
