Day Three of the Uganda T20 League saw rain play spoilsport in some matches, but Avengers CC and Rounders CC dominated their fixtures. Tornado CC also continued their winning run.
- Ceylon Lions vs Mukono Development – Florida Oval
Persistent rain forced the afternoon clash between Ceylon Lions and Mukono Development to be abandoned without a ball bowled.
Both teams shared points.
- Avengers CC sweep JACC – Jinja SS Oval
Avengers CC impressed in both Group D games. In the morning, Yashashvi Joshi scored 46 off 35 balls and Christopher Kidega added 31, helping Avengers post 139/7.
JACC struggled, finishing 104, with only Oyaga Sadam unbeaten on 38. Joshi took 3/15 as Avengers won by 35 runs.
In the rain-shortened afternoon match, Avengers chased 66/2 in just five overs. Pius Oloka’s 37* off 17 balls and Abraiz Mir Ali’s 14* guided the side.
JACC collapsed to 29/5, with Joshi (2/10) and Nasta Girish (1/9) leading the bowlers for another 37-run win.
- Rounders CC Sweep Kutchi Tigers B – GM Sugar Oval
Rounders CC claimed twin victories over Kutchi Tigers B. In the morning, Steven Wabwose scored 44 and Brian Masaba 57*, helping Rounders reach 169/4.
Rain adjusted the Tigers’ target to 137 in 17 overs, but they fell 17 runs short.
The afternoon, rain-affected 10-over game saw Rounders post 71/4, with Masaba making 29.
Kutchi Tigers B finished 63/9, giving Rounders an 8-run win and a clean sweep.
- Premier CC vs Tornado CC – Serenity Cricket Oval
Tornado edged Premier CC in the morning. Premier managed 102/7 from 17 overs, with Devansh Patel scoring 17.
Tornado chased it down in 13.1 overs, anchored by Oburu Patrick’s 24* and support from Odong Richard.
The afternoon match was abandoned due to rain. Premier were bowled out for 97, with Simon Oketcho (3/13) and Ryan Tendo (3/14) excelling, but Tornado could not bat. Points were shared.
Kutchi Tigers remained untouchable in Group D, completing another perfect double, while Avengers CC looked equally dominant with back-to-back victories.
Ceylon Lions finally roared, securing their first win of the tournament.
In Group B, Rounders CC made a strong statement with a clinical double over Kutchi Tigers B, and Tornado continued their winning momentum despite the afternoon rainout.
