Uganda U15 national team (Rhinos) head coach Hamuza Lutalo has named a provisional squad of 45 players to start preparations for the U15 CECAFA Championships, which will be hosted at FUFA Technical Centre Njeru in Buikwe district from November 14-18.
The summoned squad is expected to enter camp on Tuesday in Njeru and Lutalo with his fellow new technical team will take charge.
Lutalo is assisted by Ronald Ssali as his first assistant coach and Kenneth Magada is the goalkeeping coach.
Denis Kizito is the fitness trainer while Ivan Kulika is the team’s physiotherapist, Micheal Gumisiriza the team Doctor, Damba Veron the kits officer with Bashir Mutyaba the team manager. Joel Kivumbi is the Team Media Officer.
Hosts Uganda come into the tournament with aim of defending it, having won the inaugural edition in 2019 as they defeated Kenya 4-0 in the finals held in Eritrea.
Players born in 2008 and above are part of the team. This marks the eligibility of the players to feature in the U15 category as most of them are from school Championships.
