Group A includes the hosts Tunisia, Rwanda, Ivory Coast, Angola and West African powerhouse Mali.

Meanwhile, the Junior Gazelles will have to compete against the likes of Mali, neighbours Rwanda and the North African nation, Morocco.

Group A then includes hosts Tunisia, Egypt, Guinea and Angola in the tournament that will go on till July 23.

It should be noted that the Junior Silverbacks booked their spot in the championship after winning the FIBA Zone Five Qualifiers in Kigali, Rwanda.

Both teams will attain a spot in next year’s world championships if they finish among the top teams in this championship.
