Uganda Women’s Football Association and FUFA Host Successful Administration Course

The Uganda Women’s Football Association (UWFA) partnered with the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) to host a three-day Football Administration and Management Course Level One (FAMACO I).

The course was aimed at equipping participants with the knowledge and skills needed to elevate Ugandan women’s football.

Held from February 6th to 8th, 2024, at the SIGs office in Mengo, the course attracted 40 participants, including 7 women and 33 men.

Seasoned instructors led interactive sessions on critical topics like governance, business management, and sport-specific strategies for the beautiful game.

Geoffrey Mugabi, a dedicated sports journalist with Nnalubaale Sports attending the course despite using crutches, emphasized the course’s value:

“It’s really challenging to hire a car for classes but, I was committed and planned better because I believe that knowledge is power and to be successful in modern era, you should be educated in the different capacities” He started

“I have learned a lot that I didn’t know and the course has really proved that we need to upgrade to Famaco level two. I thank FUFA and UWFA for this course and I believe it will help many of us to improve the standards of the game in the country,” concluded Mugabi.

Fellow participant Naluboka Esther Makwa echoed the appreciation:

“I have learn about administration and other areas in managing the game and it will help me to be a good leader in different aspects. I thank the organizers FUFA and UWFA for such a very educating course.” Said Naluboka.

All 40 participants received certificates signed by FUFA President Eng. Moses Magogo and CEO Mr. Edgar Watson.
