Itanda Kayakers won by 7 Wickets

Karuma Rapids never settled with the bat, posting just 86 for 8 in 20 overs. Captain Kevin Awino made a patient 37 off 42 balls and Proscovia Alako added 21, but the rest struggled against Kevin Amuge’s superb 4 for 13, which included a hat-trick. Gloria Abicier (1/8) and Sarah Tino (1/22) offered tidy support.

The Kayakers chased the target with ease, finishing on 89 for 3 in 14.4 overs. Skipper Rita Musamali struck a brisk 23 off 16 balls, and Mary Namiro stayed unbeaten on 17.

Wickets from Jackie Lalam, Devine Nyamer, and Abigail Bulamu barely slowed the chase.

Rafters hold firm

Earlier, Immaculate Nakisuuyi smashed 54 off 39 to lift the Rafters to 111 for 7, with Malisa Ariokot adding 21. Teddy Oyella (2/11) and Janet Mbabazi (1/19) led the Trekkers’ attack.

Sippi Trekkers stumbled in reply, finishing on 90 for 9. Nakisuuyi returned to claim 4 for 11, while Consylate Aweko (2/16) and Peace Ninsiima (2/14) tightened the squeeze.

Stephanie Nampiina’s 30 and Phiona Egaru Kulume’s 24 were the only real resistance.

The wins keep both the Kayakers and Rafters firmly in the hunt in the 2025 Uganda Women’s Super T20 league.
