Uganda’s Meble Namakoye and Oliva Nakajja clinched bronze medals at the recent Uganda International Badminton Series. Despite missing several top players, the Ugandan pair made a strong showing in the tournament held at Lugogo Indoor Stadium from October 3rd to 6th.

In the semifinals, Namakoye and Nakajja fell to the Rawat sisters (Gayatri Rawat and Mansa Rawat), who ultimately secured the gold medal by defeating UAE’s Nidhi Desai and Sreeyutha Sreejith Parol in the final.
