Uganda Rugby Union has confirmed Uganda’s return to the revived Enterprise Cup, with the regional club competition set to kick off on March 21, 2026.
Four Ugandan sides, Black Pirates RFC, Heathens RFC, KOBs Rugby Club and Buffaloes RFC will represent the country in the cross-border tournament against leading Kenyan clubs.
The teams earned their places through the 2025 Uganda Cup, where Pirates won the title, followed by Heathens, KOBs and Buffaloes.
The revived competition will pit Uganda’s top clubs against four Kenyan sides, KCB Rugby, Kabras Sugar Rugby Club, Menengai Oilers and Nondescripts RFC in cross-country quarterfinals.
In the opening fixtures, Pirates will host KCB Rugby while Heathens face Kabras Sugar in Uganda.
Elsewhere, Buffaloes will travel to Kenya to take on Menengai Oilers, while KOBs face Nondescripts.
Uganda Rugby Union president Godwin Kayangwe Arinaitwe said the competition’s return will help strengthen club rugby in the region.
“This competition revives a strong rugby tradition between Uganda and Kenya. It gives our clubs a chance to compete at a higher level and helps develop players for national teams,” Kayangwe said.
He added that the tournament will also deepen ties between the two countries through sport and shared passion for rugby.
Winners from the quarterfinals will advance to the semifinals on April 11, with the final scheduled for May 30.
