Ugandan volleyball champions Nemostars have jetted out to Misrata, Libya, to face off with the best on the continent at the Africa Volleyball Club Championship.
This will be their eighth appearance at the annual elite continental tournament, and they hope to reach the medal bracket this time around.
The Ugandan side finished in eighth place at their last Africa Club Championships, which was held in Tunisia back in 2021.

Nemostars were seen off with words of encouragement and inspiration from National Council of Sports Senior Sports Officer Sarah Anne Nankya in Lugogo yesterday.
They will take to the court for their first game on Good Friday, April 18th, 2025, and compete for top honors until the 30th of this month.

Captain George Aporu will lead a team of ten as they fight for the pride of the Pearl of Africa flag in the northern part of the Continent.
The squad is comprised of Mark Omara, Bernard Malinga, Steven Wandera, Daudi Okello, Smith Okumu, John Bosco Opendi, Brian Musinguzi, Esau Ecil, and Willington Talemwa.
The technical team has experienced Tom Amou as the coach, Safina Nagayi as the manager, Hanifa Lubega as the Head of Delegation, and International Referee Innocent Komakech.
