Ugandan midfielder Allan Okello has parted ways with Algerian Premier League side Paradou AC by mutual consent.
The Uganda Cranes attacking gem joined Paradou in 2020, but he struggled to settle in and make an impact. He was loaned back to his former club, KCCA FC, for the 2022-23 season.
In a statement on social media, Okello said: “I want to express my gratitude to Paradou AC for the journey we have had together. After careful consideration, we have mutually agreed to terminate my contract.”
He added: “This decision was not made lightly, and it comes after extensive reflection on both my personal and professional aspirations. I believe this is the right step for both parties, and I am excited for the next chapter in my career.”
Okello thanked the fans, his teammates, and everyone at Paradou for their support. He said: “I will always cherish the memories we have created together. Wishing the club continued success in the future. Merci Paradou AC.”
It is not yet known where Okello will play next season and as you read this, his next home is his best kept secret.
