Ugandan midfielder Ayebale Benjamin has signed a one-year deal with Spanish club Unión Popular de Langreo (UP Langreo), who play in the Segunda Federación, Spain’s fourth tier.
The 20-year-old joins from Rayo Vallecano C and can play both as an attacking midfielder and out wide. Known for his creativity and versatility, Ayebale brings fresh attacking options to his new team.
Ayebale started his European journey with Getafe U19, where he impressed with his technical skills and work rate. His time at Rayo Vallecano C helped him grow in a competitive environment, paving the way for this next step.
UP Langreo, based in Asturias and founded in 1961, plays at the Estadio Ganzabal. The club has a reputation for nurturing young talent—something Ayebale hopes to benefit from as he continues his development.
His move has excited Langreo fans and caught attention back home in Uganda, where he’s seen as one of the country’s top young prospects having played for Olympia Sports Academy before he left to feature in the Getafe Academy.
Ayebale now has the chance to make his mark in Spanish football.
