As the Uganda Muslim Education Association Solidarity Games approach in a month, leaders from the Association and headteachers conducted a successful inspection of the host school for the 2026 Edition, Nkoma SS, between 3rd and 6th April.

On Tuesday, March 4, a team led by UMEA Chairman Hajji Twahir Kitezaala, accompanied by Chairman of the UMEA Games organizing committee Hajji Hussein Lwembaawo, Ayub Khalifah, Mastula Kisigo Nankya, and other members visited the hosting school in the Eastern part of Uganda to examine the preparations made by Nkoma SS.

Following the successful inspection with the guidance of host Head Teacher Abubakar Kawanguzi, the leader of the inspection team shared a picture of the findings:

“The association is satisfied with what is on the ground at Nkoma SS ahead of the games. We hope for successful games as we continue to strengthen the values among students in Muslim-based schools, which is the case for these games.”

Rallying for the best edition, Nkoma SS Head Teacher Kawanguzi called on the entire East Region for collaboration in the cause.

Sports disciplines such as Football for Boys and Girls, Badminton, Handball, Volleyball, Netball, Table Tennis, Chess, and Scrabble continue to be on this year’s menu, with the organizers hoping for a mass turnout from Muslim-based schools.

Over 100 secondary schools sent teams to different sports disciplines to Namagabi SS in Kayunga last year, where schools like Kibuli SS, Gombe SS, Greenlight SS, Kawempe Muslim, and Masaka SS dominated the games.
