University of Kisubi (Unik) will be looking to end their winless streak when they host Bugema University on Monday in the University Football League (UFL).

Unik are currently bottom of Group A with no points, having lost all three of their matches so far.

Their most recent defeat was a 5-0 thrashing at the hands of Bugema on matchday three.

However, Unik coach Jesse Lukoki is confident that his side can turn things around in the return leg.

“We did not play well in the first leg and we deserved to lose,” Lukoki admitted.

“But everything is in our hands at home and we will put up a fighting spirit.”

Bugema University, on the other hand, need to win if they are to close the gap on table leaders Uganda Martyrs, who are also the defending champions.

Bugema have won their last two matches, thrashing Kabale University 6-0 and Unik 5-0, after losing their opening game 3-1 to Uganda Martyrs.

Bugema coach Medhi Nyanzi has cautioned his side against complacency.

“We have instructed, organized, and motivated our boys to stay strong and be on alert and keep a good fighting spirit,” Nyanzi said.

“The secret of a winning team is the power of the mind.”

Uganda Martyrs top the group with nine points, followed by Bugema with six points.

Kabale University is third with three points, while Unik are bottom with no points.
