University Football League | Wednesday, October 11
- ISBAT v Kampala University – 3pm, Buwambo
ISBAT University coach Edwin Oundo has promised a comeback against Kampala University in the University Football League when the two sides face off on Wednesday in Buwambo.
ISBAT lost 3-1 to Bishop Stuart University in their opening game but Oundo is confident they will perform better in the Wednesday clash.
“It’s sad that we lost the game but we have not lost hope. We are going to work on the few issues that went wrong where we lost concentration and focus,” Oundo said.
“We’ve had ample time to prepare for this game and our aim is to get all three points from the game to improve our chances of making it to the knockout stage. A draw will not be good enough.”
However, Kampala University coach Vincent Tumusiime has cautioned his players to be conscious. The two-time champions came from a goal down to beat Bishop Staurt 2-1 in their previous game.
“We can’t take any team for granted. We know we have to play our best football. We won’t take anything lightly despite them being debutants in the league, they can surprise you. We just have to have a consistency and a continuation,” Tumusiime said.
“We can take confidence from the first game but today it’s a different ball game and every game is tough from now on. The boys have to be focused,” Tumusiime added.
