Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST) skipper Charles Musaazi has expressed his satisfaction with a point obtained against YMCA Comprehensive Institute over the weekend.
MUST and YMCA could not be separated following a goalless draw in the 2022 Pepsi University Football League game played in Mbarara.
“This is a precious point for us and I believe it is a good foundation for us to start earning good results,” Musaazi told the media after the game before adding.
“We had a good display throughout the game and that will continue improving in the games to come.”
“A draw against such an opponent is not easy but we managed it, and we could also have won the game but missed several chances but, we shall take a point,” he added.
MUST registered their maiden point in this year’s tournament but remain rock bottom of Group D in three games.
On the other hand, it was YMCA’s second point and they are placed third on the four-team log.
Meanwhile, Makerere University and St. Lawrence University are positioned first on six points and second on four points respectively, as they meet on Monday.
YMCA will return home and host MUK on Thursday, May 19 whilst MUST will visit SLAU on Wednesday, May 25.
