FUFA Women Super League’s matchday fifteen climaxes this Sunday morning with Rines SS WFC hosting Uganda Martyrs at Kabaka Kyabaggu stadium in Wakiso.

A crucial game for hosts Rines SS WFC, who are just four points above the relegation zone. Victory would take them to 19 points, only one behind their opponents Uganda Martyrs.

Uganda Martyrs comfortably won 3-1 in the first leg, but Rines SS WFC emerged victorious 1-0 in this fixture last season and will hope for a repeat result on Sunday.

Rines SS WFC lost their previous league game 2-1 to table leaders Kawempe Muslim, while Uganda Martyrs drew 0-0 with Kampala Queens.

This will be the sixth meeting between the two sides, with Uganda Martyrs having a dominant record of four wins and one loss, scoring eight goals and conceding only three.

Uganda Martyrs’ head coach Edward Kasozi Ssozi is confident of a positive result: “Away games are tough especially in the second round but we are aiming at winning all our remaining games starting with Sunday’s game against Rines. It’s upon the players to execute our tactics because we have prepared them well.”

Uganda Martyrs will miss defender Shakirah Nagudi (unspecified reasons), Shamusa Najjuma due to accumulated cards, and captain Latifah Nakasi is doubtful due to illness.

Rines SS WFC will continue to miss goalkeeper Elsie Najjemba due to a knee injury. Eva Nagayi is back and trained with the team, while the rest of the squad is available for selection.
