2025/26 Uganda Premier League | MD 18 | Monday March 2,

  • Buhimba United Saints 0-2 KCCA
  • Calvary 0-1 SC Villa (Abandoned)

Ivan Ahimbisibwe’s rich vein of form continued Monday evening as he struck twice to fire KCCA FC to a 2-0 win over Buhimba United Saints FC at Royals Park in Hoima.

The forward scored in either half to take his league tally to nine and guide KCCA up to third place on 36 points, just two behind leaders Vipers SC.

KCCA started brightly but had to wait until the 42nd minute to break through. Joel Sserunjogi’s long ball was cushioned by Saidi Mayanja into Ahimbisibwe’s path, and the striker calmly finished to give the visitors a deserved halftime lead.

Buhimba responded after the break, with Anwari Ntege forcing a good save from goalkeeper Mutwalibi Mugolofa.

Substitute Kennedy Muserero also came close for KCCA, but Jamil Kiyimba produced a fine stop to keep the hosts in the game.

With Buhimba pushing for an equaliser, Mugolofa made a crucial intervention, rushing off his line to deny Swadik Moro.

Ahimbisibwe settled the contest in the 87th minute. Bright Anukani’s long pass found him in space, and he controlled well before blasting into the roof of the net to seal the win and earn Man of the Match honours.

Buhimba stay 14th on 15 points and remain in trouble near the bottom. KCCA next host Police FC, while Buhimba face Maroons FC.

Elsewhere, the game between Calvary FC and SC Villa was abandoned at halftime with Villa leading 1-0.
