2025/26 Uganda Premier League | MD 22 | Friday April 10,
- Vipers vs Kitara – St. Mary’s stadium, Kitende | 8 pm
Wasswa Bbosa has struck a calm but determined tone ahead of Kitara’s biggest test of the season, insisting his side must deliver when they face Vipers SC in Friday night’s top of the table clash at Kitende.
The former Express FC title-winning coach knows what is at stake as Kitara, currently second, try to cut the four-point gap.
“They are the champions, we respect that. They have a very good team and technical staff,” Bbosa said.
“But our target is to win and close the gap on them, otherwise defeat will make our season objective difficult.”
Both sides are still chasing a double, with the league and the Uganda Cup in sight, making this clash even more important.
Vipers lead the table with 50 points and have been strong all season, their only setback coming off the pitch. Their last domestic loss on the field was in May 2025.
Kitara, however, come in with confidence. Bbosa will rely on Kabon Living, in form George Ssenkaaba and Emmanuel Wasswa, who scored in the 3-0 cup win over Express.
History favours Vipers, who have won seven of the last ten meetings. But Kitara believe this is their moment to change that.
Before Vipers SC host Kitara FC, Lugazi will host Entebbe UPPC in Najjembe at 4 pm.
