  • BUL 3-0 Buhimba United Saints

Buhimba United Saints FC’s perfect start to life in the top flight came to an abrupt end on Thursday after a humbling 3–0 defeat to BUL FC at the FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru.

The newly promoted side, who had impressively won their opening three games, found themselves overwhelmed by a sharp and clinical BUL side in what turned out to be a first-half demolition.

Ibra Mugulusi opened the scoring in the 16th minute before new signing Seiri Arigumaho doubled the lead just after the half-hour mark.

Four minutes before the break, Jerome Kirya added a third to seal a dominant performance for the Eastern Giants.

Though Buhimba United improved after the interval, their efforts to stage a comeback proved futile as the early damage proved too heavy to undo.

Despite the loss, Buhimba United remain top of the table with nine points, just one ahead of second-placed BUL FC, who continue to underline their title credentials.
