2025/26 Uganda Premier League
- Police 4-0 Buhimba United
Buhimba United Saints’ bright start to the season continued to crumble on Wednesday as they fell 4–0 to a clinical Police FC at the Police Arena in Kiira, marking their sixth straight defeat.
After winning their first three Uganda Premier League matches, the Saints have since lost their rhythm, and their trip to Kiira only deepened the slide.
Goalkeeper Jamil Kiyimba produced several brave saves to keep them afloat early on, but Police, eager to respond after losing narrowly to Kitara, kept pushing.
The breakthrough came in the 28th minute when Denis Kalanzi reacted quickest to a rebound after Kiyimba spilled Lawrence Tezikya’s low shot.
Right before halftime, Police struck again, Brian James Obedi dispossessed Buhimba on the left and set up Umaru Kasumba, who finished calmly for 2–0.
After the restart, Buhimba’s defensive shape fell apart. Man of the Match Saidi Kyeyune added a third following a neat exchange with Kalanzi, and former Buhimba striker Hussein Mwanje sealed the rout with a guided finish from Emmanuel Mugume’s cross.
The win lifts Police to third place on 17 points, while Buhimba remain stuck in 13th with nine points from nine games.
Elsewhere Mbarara City managed to scrap a 1-all draw against visitors Entebbe UPPC at the Rwamanja Stadium in Kamwenge.
