2025/26 Uganda Premier League | Tuesday December 16 | MD 11

  • BUL FC 1-3 Police FC
  • UPDF FC 0-0 NEC FC

BUL’s slump deepened on Tuesday as Police FC claimed a convincing 3–1 win in a Uganda Premier League match at the FUFA Technical Centre, piling more pressure on head coach Abbey Bogere Kikomeko.

It was a fifth straight defeat for BUL and a sixth game without a win, a run that has dragged them into the bottom half of the table.

Police, by contrast, were sharp and assured, earning a result that lifted them to third place.

The visitors set the tone early. Dennis Kalanzi wasted a clear chance inside the opening minute, and moments later Daniel Jakony’s header drifted wide as Police pushed forward with intent.

The breakthrough arrived in the 14th minute when Juma Ikamba tapped in from close range after a neat delivery from Richard Matovu on the left.

BUL were rocked and needed goalkeeper Mathias Muwanga to make two quick saves to stay in the game.

Despite being second best, BUL snatched an equaliser in the 29th minute through Abdul Karim Ndugwa, who took advantage of a rare opening to restore hope.

That hope did not last. Police kept control after the break while BUL struggled to find rhythm.

The decisive moment came in the 87th minute when Jakony redeemed his earlier miss, finishing off a well-worked move created by Saidi Kyeyune.

Brian Obedi wrapped it up in stoppage time, calmly scoring a third to crown a dominant Police performance.

The defeat leaves BUL 12th on the table with 10 points from 11 matches.

Elsewhere, UPDF and NEC played out a goalless draw, a result that moves NEC up to eighth, one point ahead of UPDF in 11th.

League action continues this evening with leaders KCCA hosting Buhimba United Saints at Phillip Omondi Stadium, Lugogo.
