2025/26 Uganda Premier League | MD 14 | Tuesday January 27

  • Calvary FC 0-0 URA FC

Calvary FC remain at the bottom of the Uganda Premier League after being held to a 0–0 draw by URA FC at Midigo Playground on Tuesday evening.

The match began cautiously, with both sides looking to build from the back. Clear chances were few, and a brief water break in the fifth minute did little to change the tempo.

The first half remained uneventful, though URA’s Arthur Kiggundu and Calvary’s John Rogers received yellow cards in the 33rd minute and just before halftime, respectively.

The second half followed a similar pattern. At the 55th minute, play was briefly halted after Calvary’s Kiwanuka and URA’s Amaku collided, but both continued.

URA’s Aliro tested Calvary goalkeeper Shukuru with a free kick in the 60th minute, but the custodian held firm to preserve the clean sheet.

Both teams made several substitutions to try and break the deadlock, but neither could find the decisive touch. Calvary’s Junior Emmanuel Ojok was named Man of the Match for his industrious midfield display.

With the draw, Calvary’s wait for a first win stretches on. They will host Kitara FC at Midigo on January 31, while URA FC prepares to face Police FC, who fell 1–0 to Vipers SC in Kitende.

Elsewhere, NEC FC edged Buhimba United Saints 1–0 in Hoima, Lugazi ended BUL’s dominance with a 2–1 win in Najjembe, and KCCA FC thrashed UPDF 4–0 at Lugogo.
