2025/26 Uganda Premier League

  • Calvary 0-1 UPDF

After losing their first home game to Entebbe UPPC, a result that cost coach Jimmy Kintu Mwera and his staff their jobs, the home struggles continued on Wednesday as the Yumbe side Calvary fell 1-0 to UPDF FC at the Midigo Primary School Ground.

Emmanuel Ochen’s strike was enough to hand Calvary their second straight home defeat and fifth loss in six matches.

The trouble began early in the season. Calvary parted ways with Mwera just before the international break, despite him having only joined at the start of the campaign.

Calvary opened with four consecutive away games, a demanding stretch for any newly promoted team looking for balance.

But returning home has brought little comfort, with defeats to Entebbe UPPC FC and now UPDF FC piling on the pressure.

With just one point from six games, Calvary remain rooted at the bottom of the table, and in desperate need of a turnaround.
