2025/26 Uganda Premier League | MD 16 | Saturday February 14,
- Express FC 0-0 Entebbe UPPC FC
Entebbe UPPC’s defensive record stands out, they’ve gone seven straight games without conceding, and eight overall this season.
Their rock solid defence still showed no cracks on Saturday, holding Express to a 0-0 draw at Hamz Stadium, Nakivubo.
Rain shortly after kick off made conditions tough, and scoring chances were few. For Express, it was their second consecutive draw after a stalemate with NEC FC.
The Red Eagles, who lost key players Richard Basangwa, Rashid Kawawa, Muhammad ‘Kagawa’ Ssenoga, and Hakim Wandera to NEC FC, still matched Entebbe’s intensity on the pitch.
Entebbe’s first real chance came in the 16th minute when Ambrose Kigozi raced from his own half to meet a long ball but couldn’t control it.
Express replied two minutes later as Innocent Asiimwe’s strike from the edge of the box rattled the side netting.
Express’s defence stayed resolute, denying Entebbe multiple first half opportunities. John Kokas Alou missed two well delivered crosses from Issa Mubiru, keeping the score 0-0 at halftime.

In the second half, Entebbe coach Abdallah Mubiru introduced Noordin Sadik Bunjo and Julius Poloto to add energy.
Bunjo nearly broke the deadlock but was denied by a stunning save from Express goalkeeper Khassim Hafizi.
The draw leaves Entebbe UPPC fourth on 31 points, while Express sit tenth with 17.
Next week, Entebbe host UPDF on Tuesday, while Express travel to Yumbe to face Calvary FC.
