KCCA FC continued their strong run of form with a comfortable 3-0 victory over Lugazi FC on Saturday in Najjembe.

The Kasasiro Boys are enjoying a turnaround in fortunes, stretching their winning streak to five matches in all competitions, four in the league and one in the Uganda Cup.

KCCA took the lead in the 19th minute when Saidi Mayanja capitalised on a mistake by Lugazi goalkeeper Allan Batali Igama, who spilled the ball into the midfielder’s path.

The visitors doubled their advantage just after the half-hour mark when defender Paul Wasswa turned the ball into his own net under pressure from striker Ivan Ahimbisibwe.

KCCA sealed the win in the 57th minute as Mayanja turned provider, setting up Ahimbisibwe to score the third.

The victory keeps KCCA third on 45 points, two behind leaders Vipers SC, who play Calvary FC later today.

Lugazi remain 12th with 18 points, four above the relegation zone.

Next, KCCA face SC Villa at FUFA Stadium Kadiba on April 11, while Lugazi host Entebbe UPPC FC a day earlier in Najjembe.

Elsewhere, SC Villa beat Entebbe UPPC 2-0 in Entebbe, while Maroons FC and UPDF FC drew 0-0.
