Sports Club Villa came from behind to beat Maroons 2-1 at Mutesa II Wankulukuku stadium yesterday as the StarTimes Uganda Premier League second round got underway.
Talisman John Patrick Kakande scored a brace for Villa while Fred Amaku’s opener was relegated to a consolation in a battle for fourth place.
The win, Villa’s eighth in 16 matches, moved them one place up to fourth on 29 points, dislodging their day’s victims, who fell one slot and point below.
Fast forward, today’s action features table leaders BUL FC who will be away to KCCA at the Omondi stadium, Lugogo and eager to complete a league double over the Cityzens.
Elsewhere, URA FC and Express FC will be seeking victories on the road when they travel to Gaddafi FC and Mbarara City FC respectively.
Despite beautiful displays, coach David Obua‘s side didn’t win a single game on the road in the first-round drawing four times and losing as many.
For Express, a trip to Kakyeeka stadium is a tricky one since they will be facing their former tactician Wasswa Bbosa on a difficult playing surface.
