Uganda Premier League
- SC Villa 2-1 Police
- Kitara 3-2 Mbarara City
SC Villa finally grabbed their first win of the season thanks to a dramatic stoppage-time goal from substitute Charles Lwanga, sealing a 2-1 comeback victory over Police FC at the FUFA Kadiba Stadium on Friday.
The Jogoos looked headed for more disappointment when Congolese forward Bedia Djuma Ikambi put Police ahead in the 22nd minute, heading home a Denis Kalanzi cross after a sharp run down the left.
Villa’s Ibrahim Kasinde nearly equalized before halftime, but his effort was denied by goalkeeper Mathias Muwanga.
Coach Dusan Stojanovic’s halftime changes changed the game’s rhythm, with substitutes Geoffrey Gagganga and Charles Lwanga breathing new life into the attack.
Gagganga leveled in the 70th minute, punishing a defensive lapse after Muwanga misjudged a clearance.
Just when the match seemed destined for a draw, Lwanga pounced on a loose ball in stoppage time, calmly chipping past Muwanga to hand Villa their first league win of the campaign.

The victory lifted Villa to eighth place with four points from four games, while Police stayed fifth on five.
Meanwhile in Hoima, Kitara FC claimed bragging rights in the Western Derby with a thrilling 3-2 win over Mbarara City at Royals Park, Butema.
Kitara raced to a 2-0 lead inside 15 minutes through Isaac Amutuhaire and Jimmy Kalema, but Mbarara hit back with Innocent Wafula pulling one back before halftime.

Despite going down to ten men after goalkeeper Fahad Emuran was sent off on the hour mark, Mbarara equalized through Henry Kitegenyi in the 66th minute.
Just as both sides looked ready to share the spoils, referee Lucky Kasalirwe awarded Kitara a late penalty after a foul on Eddy Ssebandeke.
Gaddafi Wahab made no mistake from the spot, sending home fans into wild celebration, while angry Mbarara players confronted the referee, forcing stewards to intervene.

Kitara’s win lifted them to ninth on four points from three games, while Mbarara remained winless in 12th with two from four.
