Uganda Premier League has tweaked its Matchday 23 schedule, making room for national duty and avoiding a clash with Uganda’s upcoming FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup qualifier against Zimbabwe.

The change, confirmed by the league secretariat on Thursday, follows FUFA’s communication that the qualifier will be played on Saturday, April 18, 2026 at FUFA Stadium, Kadiba. The fixture had created a venue conflict, forcing the league to act.

As a result, one of the standout ties, SC Villa against Vipers SC has been brought forward. The two sides will now meet on Wednesday, April 15 under the lights at Kadiba.

There were also concerns from KCCA FC and NEC FC about hosting a double-header at Phillip Omondi Stadium, Lugogo. The league responded by splitting the matches across two days.

KCCA FC will host Kitara FC on Friday, April 17, while NEC FC face Maroons FC on Saturday, April 18. Both games will kick off at 8:00 PM in Lugogo.
