2025/26 Uganda Premier League | MD 18 | Tuesday March 3,
- Police FC 0-2 BUL FC
Rain fell steadily over Kira Road, but Ibrahim Orit made sure BUL FC left with all the shine.
The forward struck twice in the second half as BUL beat Police FC 2-0 at the Police Arena in Kamwokya on match day 18 of the Uganda Premier League.
The evening began under heavy showers. Both teams warmed up in the rain, the ambulance stationed nearby, and by kickoff the downpour had eased. What followed was a tight, physical contest that only came alive after the break.
Police started well. They pressed with energy and forced early set pieces, but their finishing let them down.
Umar Kasumba tried his luck from distance and later missed a clear chance early in the second half when the hosts looked in control.
At the other end, Tom Ikara kept BUL in the game with a key first-half save, matching the steady presence of Mathias Muwanga in the Police goal. The opening half ended goalless but tense, with bookings reflecting the intensity.
Police returned stronger after the break and appeared the better side. Then came the turning point.
In the 59th minute, Regan Kalyowa slipped a neat pass through and Orit finished calmly to give BUL the lead against the run of play.
Police pushed forward in response, making changes and committing numbers ahead, but they lacked the final touch.
With five minutes to play, they were still searching for an equaliser. Instead, Orit delivered the killer blow.
Latching onto a long ball, he raced clear, rounded Muwanga and calmly chipped into an empty net to seal the win.
It was a clinical display from the striker, who walked away with the Man of the Match award.

The victory moves BUL to eighth with 23 points, while Police remain sixth on 32.
BUL next host Calvary at the FUFA Technical Centre on March 6, while Police travel to face KCCA on the same day.
Elsewhere, Kitara FC put two past Entebbe UPPC FC without reply, their first loss in 11 UPL matches.
