KCCA FC co-head coach Brian Ssenyondo has urged his players to stay vigilant as the Kasasiro Boys prepare to host newcomers Buhimba United Saints FC in a Uganda Premier League duel on Tuesday.
The fixture marks the first ever meeting between the two sides in Uganda’s top flight.
KCCA sits comfortably atop the league with 23 points from 10 matches, while Buhimba United Saints struggle in 14th place with 10 points, having gone seven games without a win.
Despite winning their last four league matches, KCCA has shown defensive vulnerabilities, conceding in each of their last six games.
Ssenyondo emphasized that this, combined with the challenge of facing an unfamiliar opponent, requires full focus.
“Every game in this league is a challenge, and playing Buhimba for the first time is no different,” Ssenyondo said.
“We’ve studied their recent performances and know we cannot underestimate them. Our priority is concentration, sticking to the game plan, and converting chances to secure the three points.”
KCCA will hope their home advantage at the start of the AFCON 2025 break helps maintain momentum and keep them at the top of the table.
Buhimba, meanwhile, will look to pull off an upset and record their first ever league win against KCCA.
