Samuel Ssekamatte opened his scoring account for NEC FC with a brace that guided the visitors to a 2-0 win over Lugazi FC in the Uganda Premier League match at Lugazi Stadium on Friday.

Lugazi started brightly and tried to put NEC under pressure, but the visitors stayed organised at the back.

In the 21st minute, Alfred Leku picked out Alvin Birungi with a good pass, yet the move ended without a meaningful finish.

NEC broke the deadlock six minutes into the second half. Coming off the bench, Ssekamatte kept his composure to finish neatly and give the visitors the lead.
