Uganda Premier League
- UPPC 2-1 Lugazi
- BUL 1-0 Maroons
The Uganda Premier League lit up on Matchday Two, with debutants UPPC FC grabbing their first-ever topflight win in dramatic style, while BUL FC battled past Maroons.
At the FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru, BUL secured their first victory of the season with a hard-fought 1–0 win.
Ibrahim Mugulusi settled the contest in the 38th minute, finishing a neat move that left Maroons chasing.
Despite late pressure, BUL’s backline stood firm to seal all three points, moving them to four after drawing with URA in their opener.
In Entebbe, UPPC produced a spirited comeback to stun Lugazi United 2–1 at Bugonga Fisheries Grounds.
Lugazi, buoyed by their opening win over Calvary, struck first through Freedom Mungudit in the 24th minute and carried the lead into the break.
But the second half belonged to the Printers. Isa Mubiru equalized in the 63rd minute before Fazil Tumwine struck the winner in the 82nd, sparking wild celebrations among the home fans.
The victory handed UPPC a historic first UPL win and underlined the fighting spirit of coach Abdullah’s side after their opening-day defeat to Buhimba.
UPPC now face a stern test away to SC Villa at FUFA Kadiba, while Bul visit Mbarara City at Rwamwanja.
