URA FC secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory over UPDF FC in the Uganda Premier League at Nakivubo, extending their unbeaten run against the Army side to nine matches.
Moses Aliro capitalized on a defensive mistake to give URA an early lead in the 11th minute.
However, UPDF responded in the 61st minute through Rashid Faridi, who netted his first goal of the season after a well-worked free kick.
Abraham Tusubira restored URA’s advantage just six minutes later, finishing clinically at the near post after a clever pass from Norman Namanya.
The win marked URA’s fourth consecutive home victory under coach Alex Isabirye, though it ended their three-match clean sheet streak at Nakivubo.
It also lifted them to 4th place on the table with 30 points, while UPDF sits 9th with 24 points.
URA will next face BUL FC away on March 14, while UPDF hosts KCCA FC at Bombo Barracks on the same day.
