URA FC will host Express FC at Mehta Stadium on Friday at 4PM in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League (UPL), with coach David Obua still searching for his first victory since taking charge.
Obua has managed two games so far, losing 2-0 to Vipers SC and drawing 2-2 with Kitara FC. Despite the lack of wins, Obua remains optimistic and emphasizes his focus on building a strong playing style.
“I know football is about winning, but we have to do it in a certain style,” Obua said. “What I’m trying to do is improve ball retention, and the boys are doing well. I know it will take time for them to adjust to my methods, but we have to play the URA way. This is a good team that can deliver.”

Last season, URA won the first round encounter 1-0 against Express, only to lose the second round by the same score.
Express will be looking to bounce back after a disappointing 1-0 defeat to Maroons FC in their previous game. Coach James Odoch is confident his team will put in a better performance.
“We have rectified our mistakes,” Odoch said. “This will be a different game. We know we are facing a side that is hungry for a win, but we are going to fight hard and aim for victory.”
Other Matches:
- Wakiso Giants will face table leaders BUL FC at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium.
