Robert Ssentongo has made a triumphant return to URA FC, not as a player this time, but as a crucial addition to the coaching staff.

Renowned in Uganda for his ice-cold clinical finishing, Ssentongo brings a wealth of experience and expertise to address the club’s recent goal-scoring woes.

Ssentongo holds the record of being the League top scorer for four seasons, all with URA FC (2004, 2011-12, 2014-15 and 2015-16), winning the league title and two Uganda Cup trophies in the process.

Head coach David Obua, a long-time admirer of Ssentongo’s prowess, played a key role in orchestrating his return.

Recognizing URA’s need for a clinical edge in the final third, Obua believes Ssentongo’s insights and guidance will will solve the striking problem at the club.

Ssentongo is not the only former player at the club. The iconic Allan Munaaba is the Club CEO while former goalkeeper Allan Owiny is an understudy in the goalkeeping department.

The Tax Collectors who have had inconsistent performances this season will return to action this Friday, hosting Mbarara City. Their previous outing saw them draw 2-2 against Busoga United.
