Going into the halftime break in the lead, URA FC never returned to match their first-half display as NEC FC rose into the game.

Following the matches grinding URA FC accepted to concede likely in appeal to NEC FC to stop the grinding.

Paul Mucureezi took the opportunity to find Enock Ssebagala’s minus to smash it far from the reach of URA FC goalkeeper Omedwa making the score 1-1.

After finding an equaliser NEC FC looked like wanting it all as they kept coming most of the time but Mucureezi missed the best chance to put his side in the lead.

URA FC also had a chance to kill the game with two against one but Moses Aliro took the wrong options to kill the opportunity.

Earlier in the game Paul Mucureezi got two chances to open up the score for the Bugolobi-based side but Omendwa denied him with the first chance and headed the second chance slightly off the target.

On the other end, URA FC also got a chance after URA FC forward Ivan Ahimbisibwe won a hard fight for the ball over NEC FC captain Ibrahim Kyeyemba and technically shot on target but Goalie Hannington Ssebwalunyo pushed the effort into a corner which resulted in nothing.

The draw result meant NEC FC staying in league top spot but likely to lose it if Vipers SC beats Brightstars on Saturday 7th November 2024 whereas URA FC is 8th with 15 points from 11 games.

NEC FC shall return to action on Wednesday 11 against Brightstars while URA FC shall return on Friday 13 November 2024 against their home mates Express FC
