URA FC have strengthened their technical bench ahead of the new Uganda Premier League season by appointing veteran tactician Edward Golola as first assistant coach under head coach Alex Isabirye Musongola.

Golola, one of Uganda’s most respected coaches, brings vast experience and a proven winning record.

He holds a UEFA coaching license from Germany, a CAF B license, and a Youth Coaching Certificate.

During his time at Vipers SC, he guided the club to two league titles (2008 and 2009/10), the Uganda Cup (2016), and the Pilsner Super 8 (2017/18). He was also named Azam Premier League Best Manager in the 2014/15 season.

URA FC confirmed Golola’s arrival on Tuesday, saying he has already joined the team’s preparations for the new campaign.

Golola teams up with a bolstered technical staff that includes Richard Kasule (second assistant coach), Crespo Asiku (third assistant), Manko Kawesa (fitness coach), Jamil Ddamba (goalkeeping coach) and Isma Sserebe (performance analyst/statistician).

With this revamped setup, URA FC are aiming for a serious title push as they seek their first league crown since 2011, under the same man leading them again, Alex Isabirye.
