While Uganda, and most particularly URA FC continue to mourn the demise of former head coach Sam Timbe, the club will have to take off time to fulfill their date with KCCA FC.
The two giants will lock-horns in the FUFA Super 8 semi-finals on Friday at the MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo.
And, new URA FC skipper Huud Mulikyi has stressed the team will give everything to honour their fallen coach, rather than stay grieving.
“Even though it’s a trying time for us because of the demise of coach, we are strong,” Mulikyi stressed on Friday.
“That was God’s plan, and that won’t stop us from performing tomorrow,” the captain asserted.
“We are hopeful for victory because the players are in very good shape and ready for tomorrow’s game,” he summed.
URA hold the lion’s share of victories in the past, winning 14 of the 29 previous league matches. KCCA has won seven, while eight have ended in stalemates.
The winner of the match will face BUL FC in the final, who have already qualified after taming SC Villa in the other semi-final.
The match is sure to be an emotional one for both teams, but it is also a chance for URA to honor their fallen coach and show their strength in the face of adversity.
