FUFA Big League side Iganga United, has secured the signing of 19-year-old midfielder Usama Arafat Mulindwa. The talented player joins the club on a two-year contract from Buwambo FC, a side he previously played for in the Buganda Regional League.
Mulindwa is known for his versatility as a box-to-box midfielder with creative flair. During the 2024-2025 season with Buwambo FC, the double-footed player was a standout performer. He played 16 matches and was directly involved in 15 goals, scoring five and providing ten assists. His impressive performance helped his former team come close to earning a promotion to the FUFA Big League.
Beyond his club career, the Masaka-born midfielder is also a notable figure in Buganda Kingdom football competitions. He has represented Kyadondo in the Masaza Cup and plays for Engabi Ennyunga in the Bika Bya Baganda tournament.
A product of several football academies, Mulindwa developed his skills at institutions such as Synergy Academy Masaka, Express Academy Masaka, Sparta 09 Kampala, and Volf Academy Kampala Makindye. His move to Iganga United comes just as the team prepares to kick off the 2025-2026 season on Sunday, September 28, with a home match against Mbale Heroes at Iganga Saza grounds.
