Uganda Sports Press Association (USPA) will host a prestigious event to award monthly winners at the Imperial Royale Hotel today evening.
The best of November, December, January, February, March, and April will receive their gongs plus a cash token courtesy of Nile Special and Plascon.
“This event aims to recognize and honour outstanding individuals in the field of sports through the Nile Special – USPA Sports Personalities of the Month award,” USPA General Secretary Clive Kyazze noted.
He added that new categories such as as such as Sporting Award, Young Talent Award, and Supportive Award will for the first time surface at the podium.
The new categories were introduced in February 2023 to recognise the unsung stars and the future of the fraternity who can’t beat already established names to the top monthly accolade.
The program is scheduled to commence today at 6 pm and is anticipated to conclude around 9 pm to give all guests time to get home safely.
