In an effort to further develop and promote the sport of Squash in Uganda, the governing body of the sport has set up free training for level 1 coaches.

General Secretary of the Uganda Squash Rackets Association, Shifa Nantambi confirmed the initiative, “It is a level 1 coaching course that is meant to boost the USRA capacity building.”

She continued, stating that, “We are looking forward to having more coaches since our vision is to expand squash in different regions of the country.”

The course is scheduled to take place between 14th to 16th November 2025 at Kabira Country Club in Bukoto.

World Squash coach in charge of skills development Liz Makenzie from South Africa and Koketso Nshabe from Botswana will be the major instructors.

With Ugandans making the major priority, the course will also have a provision for non-Ugandan entries with USRA setting up a fee of $150 per entrant.
