God’s Way High School Maganjo defeated Mbogo mixed 2-0 in the Maganjo Zone final of Ball Games II U16 Boys Football Qualifiers.
The games played at Kawanda SS on 14th June 2025 saw God’s Way U16 boys qualify for the district for the first time in history by winning the first-ever football trophy for the school.
Maliki Mugisha came off the bench to score a brace that settled the final game attended by God’s Way High School Director Henry Kizito.
After winning the trophy Head Coach Abdul Kayanja was pleased saying, “winning this it means a lot, you know it is not good to participate for so long without winning, it is like being a man with a wife who can’t consive, People always keeps finding reasons why she can’t give you a child.”
After the qualifiers at Zone level, both God’s Way and Mbogo Mixed shall represent Maganjo Zone at district qualifiers, which are scheduled to take place at Wampeewo Ntake next week, starting with screening on Monday, June 16.
The best teams at the district level shall qualify for the national event which will be hosted by St Peter’s College Tororo, between July 10 and 15.
