USSSA confirms venues for Elite Secondary School Games

With the Elite Secondary School Games coming within two weeks, the Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association has confirmed the venues for the Elite Secondary School Games.

During a meeting held at the USSSA head offices at GNS Plaza in Old Kampala, the Association’s Chief Executive Officer Christopher Mugisha Banage revealed the venues while addressing teachers in charge of sports from schools hoping to have teams in the games.

Most of the confirmed venues are with the main host of the games, as football will be the most popular sport at up to 6 playgrounds.

The eight football teams will have their games on two pitches inside Janan SS Bombo Campus and outside, including Standard High School Ndejje, Bombo UMEA Primary School, Nkondo Playground, and Bombo Barracks.

Most of the other sports disciplines will have games within Janan SS and Janan Primary, while Rugby 7s will be moved to Buyego Grounds, also in Bombo.

With the games scheduled to start on 27th February up to 1st March 2026, teams shall check in on February 26 for screening and all other pre-tournament activities.

The tournament is expecting a maximum of 104 teams from different schools taking part in Football, Rugby 7s, Basketball 3×3, Basketball 5×5, Volleyball, Handball for both genders, and Netball for girls.
