The Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association is set to hold its 2025 opening competitions after the Elite Games draws were held.
The competition is scheduled to take place between February 13th and 16th, 2025.
During the draws held yesterday at the USSSA head offices in Old Kampala, only football (boys and girls) was drawn.
Other competitions, such as girls’ Netball, boys’ and girls’ Basketball, Rugby 7s, Handball, Volleyball, and Basketball 3×3, were opted to be played in a round-robin format.
The most anticipated draw was in boys’ Group B, where the defending champions, Jinja Progressive, were placed against emerging force Amus College, host St. Joseph Nazareth Kavule, and Kisozi Seed SS.
In Group A, national champions St. Julian Mukono, Jinja SS, Bukedea Comprehensive, and Standard High Zana will compete.
In girls’ football, powerhouses Kawempe Muslim SS and Uganda Martyrs were placed in Group A along with Bukedea Comprehensive and Sacred Heart.
In the other group, St. Noa Girls Zana, Amus College, and Boni Consili will be fighting for the top spot, while Sheema Girls will be the group underdog.
