“It’s a must for every Startimes Uganda Premier Club to have a Women Football Club, but the club should be either owning a women’s club or into a marriage,” he stated

Mulindwa clarified the format of the 2023/24 FUFA Women Elite League season.

“The 2023/24 FUFA Women Elite League season will be played in two groups with each group having at least six or more clubs,” he clarified on the Elite League format.

He also asked the women’s football club owners to stop overchanging the club’s names.

“It’s becoming a habit to change the names of the clubs and this should stop. FUFA together with UWFA are keen on the brand and identity and we’re going to work on those changing names almost every after few seasons,” he concluded.

The 2023/24 FUFA Women’s Super League is expected to kickstart in October and other lower-division women’s football leagues will follow.
