Varsity 7s: Victoria University eyeing third straight victory

The University Sevens makes her third stop at Kyadondo Rugby Grounds this weekend for another serving of Varsity 7s hosted by Victoria University.

Victoria University, in the lead, is looking to make it three wins out of three rugby weekends and have one hand on the trophy.

Victoria University defeated Makerere 26-07 to win the first circuit of the Varsity 7s at UCU, Mukono. In the second circuit, they beat UMU Nkozi 33-07 in the final at Kyambogo University.

The second coming of Victoria University in Ugandan rugby is already looking more potent than its first-time involvement, owing to its partnership with the Age Grade & Development department of the Uganda Rugby Union.

Victoria University awarded 13 full study 3-year scholarships to Uganda Rugby’s next stars.
