- UPDF vs Maroons – Bombo | 4PM
- BUL vs Police – Njeru | 4PM
- URA vs KCCA – Nakivubo | 7PM
As Uganda Premier League matchday 24 rolls around, the spotlight shines once again on the league’s traditional clubs, SC Villa, Express and KCCA FC, collectively known by fans as VEK.
After a slow start with two draws in Hoima and Kavumba, the trio hits the road in search of redemption, relevance and revival as the season inches toward its climax.
- Mbarara City FC vs SC Villa – Kakyeeka Stadium | 4 PM
Defending champions SC Villa make the long journey west to face Mbarara City, a side desperately clinging to top-flight survival.
Villa, who have struggled for form on the road this season, come into this encounter having picked up just one away victory, a narrow win over fellow relegation battlers Bright Stars.
Currently sitting 8th with 33 points, the Jogoos must rise above their inconsistency if they are to defend their crown.
Mbarara, on the other hand, find themselves 4th from bottom with 23 points and are staring down the relegation barrel. With both sides hungry for victory, this clash promises grit and tension.
- Mbale Heroes vs Express FC – Mbale Municipal Stadium | 4 PM
Express FC, a shadow of their glorious past, head east to face Mbale Heroes, the league’s current bottom dwellers.
The Red Eagles haven’t tasted victory in five straight games, and although their recent 2-2 draw with league leaders Vipers offered a glimmer of hope, pressure continues to mount on the Wankulukuku outfit.
Their hosts, Mbale Heroes have collected a mere 10 points all season, making them prime targets for any side seeking points for but in their backyard, the Heroes can be unpredictable. For Express, a win could help close the gap to mid-table but failure might plunge them deeper into crisis mode.
- URA FC vs KCCA FC – Nakivubo, Hamz Stadium | 7 PM
In the day’s only night fixture, KCCA FC travels the shortest distance but possibly face their toughest challenge as they take on URA FC under the Nakivubo floodlights.
After two straight defeats to Kitara and BUL, the Kasasiro Boys are in desperate need of a rebound to keep their fading title hopes alive.
Their opponents, URA are on a surge. With three consecutive wins under their belt, the tax collectors are chasing their fourth straight victory which would mark their best run this season.
KCCA won the reverse fixture 2-0 at Lugogo but this time, URA sit 4th on 39 points, hungry for revenge and glory.

BUL, unbeaten in the second round and perched in 3rd with 42 points, host a rejuvenated Police FC side fresh off a 2-0 win under new Head Coach Matia Lule. Victory for BUL will cut the gap at the top, adding further fuel to their title push.
- UPDF FC vs Maroons FC – Bombo | 4 PM
A battle of security forces awaits in Bombo as UPDF (29 points) and Maroons face off. UPDF still needs points to ensure survival while Maroons will be keen to recover after squandering a 3-1 lead to draw 3-3 with Wakiso Giants.
