After a brief rest following their participation in the Women’s Day T20I quadrangular tournament, Uganda’s women’s national cricket team, the Victoria Pearls, are gearing up for another international challenge.
This time, they will travel to Namibia for the 2025 Capricorn Eagles Series, a competitive bilateral contest that will see them face off against the hosts in a high-stakes series featuring six T20 Internationals (T20Is) and a one-off One Day International (ODI).
Scheduled for April 8th to 17th, 2025, all matches will be hosted at Namibia’s newly developed High Performance Cricket Oval. The series will carry ICC ranking points, making it a crucial opportunity for both teams to improve their standings in the international rankings.

Both Uganda and Namibia are currently striving to improve their positions in the global rankings. As of March 2025, they remain behind teams such as the UAE and Netherlands in the race for ODI status.
The annual ICC rankings update on May 1st, 2025, is expected to bring minor shifts, but the Capricorn Eagles Series could provide a momentum boost for the Victoria Pearls if they deliver strong performances.
Having recently faced Namibia during the Women’s Day Cup in March, Uganda’s squad will look to build on their experience and fine-tune their strategies to secure victories. The upcoming series will test their consistency and adaptability, especially as they compete away from home in Namibian conditions.
The Victoria Pearls will play a total of six T20I matches spread across three sets of match days, followed by a 50-over one-day fixture to conclude the tour.
