Vipers SC will be targeting their first win in three games when they face Soltilo Bright Stars in the Uganda Premier League (UPL) on Friday at Kavumba Recreation Ground.

The Venoms have drawn their last two games, 1-1 against SC Villa and 0-0 against Mbarara City, and will be eager to get back to winning ways.

Head coach Leonard Neiva has warned his players not to take Bright Stars lightly.

“We have to live up to our expectations,” Neiva said.

“We know this won’t be an easy game but we shall try to fight hard to win it. We have rectified our mistakes and we are good to go.”

Bright Stars have yet to win a game this season but they did pick up four points against Vipers last season, beating them 1-0 at home and drawing 0-0 away.

Coach Joseph Mutyaba believes this should motivate his players.

“We have beaten Vipers before and I believe this should motivate the players confidence,” Mutyaba said.

“We are going to try and use the home advantage.”

Elsewhere on Friday, Maroons will host URA at Luzira Stadium in an early kickoff, while UPDF will take on Express at Bombo Military Barracks.
