Vipers SC Juniors toppled BUL SC Juniors’ three-year dominance with an edgy 2–1 win in Wednesday’s FUFA Junior League final at Kadiba Stadium.
BUL came in as defending champions and heavy favorites, but Vipers matched their energy from the start. A goalless first half gave way to a lively second period.
Arafat Nkoola struck first in the 58th minute, sliding Marvin Kabiito’s cross into the net. League top scorer Ivan Maturu equalized from the spot four minutes later, but Vipers hit back almost instantly.
Nkoola rose highest to head home his second goal in the 64th minute.
BUL pressed hard late on, yet Vipers’ defense held firm to claim their third Junior League crown and end BUL’s remarkable run.
